16 Aug Wine Talk – New & French!
Andre Delorme Bourgogne
A classic Burgundian Pinot Noir from a family who has been focusing on this delicate grape since 1942. With a commitment to sustainability, the wines coming out of the Delorme estate are terroir driven, harmonious and classic in every sense of the word.
The grapes for this Pinot come from the Beaune region and produce a wine that is fruit driven with wild raspberries and fresh currants leading a palate both fresh and light.
A gentle minerality and 12 months of aging in oak barrels gives the wine a gentle complexity that is accessible and yes, truly so delightful.
A perfect introduction to this style of Pinot Noir and a great pairing for grilled skewers and a candied summer vegetable gratin!
Arc du Rhone
Named after the “Arc of Gold” a group of classified villages in southern France, Arc du Rhone is a classic white Rhone full of character and a depth of flavor that is both easy going and inviting.
A blend of Grenache Blanc, Viognier and Clairette opens into a delicately floral nose. On the palate fresh citrus fruit balance with ripe nectarine, peach and a touch of white pepper. Full and fresh this wine has all you need for your late summer to fall transition. Try paired with a warm chicken salad or stuffed summer squash
